Fashion retailer Warehouse will open a new wi-fi enabled flagship store on Oxford Street on 1st March 2014 as it embraces an omni-channel approach to retailing.
The £1m store offers multiple payment and delivery options, a suite of fully transactional iPads as well as a private VIP room.
“A store on Oxford Street has long been an ambition for the brand,” said Paula Stewart, Warehouse Brand Director.
The company said that “outstanding customer service” is at the heart of the proposition and added that most of the upper mezzanine floor would be dedicated to a “lounge environment” where customers can browse and buy products then and there.
Liz Evans, CEO Oasis and Warehouse said: “264 Oxford Street gives us a great opportunity to showcase the Warehouse brand to our international franchise partners.”
Warehouse currently trades from a total of 420 stores in 33 countries, with a further 20 new international stores planned for this year.
Aurora Fashions, which owns Warehouse Oasis and Coast, posted a £7.5m in pre-tax operating loss in 2013.
