Debenhams has hired Angela Morrison and Sally Hyndman to lead its technology and human resources teams respectively.

Both are due to start at the department store chain in May.

Morrison, who will also be supply chain director, was formerly IT director at Sainsbury‘s and chief information officer at Direct Line Group.

She also sat on the operating board for Sainsbury‘s and held senior positions with Walmart and Asda.

Meanwhile, Hyndman is a former human resources director at Dixons Carphone and Ask Restaurants, and has also on strategy and change at Marks & Spencer.

She will replace Debenham‘s former human resources director Nikki Zamblera, while Morrison will replace former operations director Peter Swann.
