Louis Vuitton has named American musician Pharrell Williams creative director of menswear, replacing Virgil Abloh, who died in November 2021.

This now marks the second time that a Black American designer has led the French luxury house. Back in 2018 when Abloh was appointed he made history.

Williams’ first collection for the label is set to be unveiled in June, during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
