Samantha Cameron’s brand Cefinn secures £2.5m in funding as it eyes expansion

Samantha Cameron’s fashion retail brand Cefinn has secured millions in backing from a number of high profile investors as it eyes expansion.

The former prime minister’s wife launched a fund-raising round for her clothing company, which she launched in 2016, managing to secure £2.5 million.

According to the brand the funding was oversubscribed, and it secured new backers including Brightwell Partners, Havisham Investments and Hong-Kong based Yu Holdings, while existing backers such as Venrex also put forward cash.

Cameron’s brand is sold online via its own website, and is now featured on YNAP and Matchesfashion.com, as well as being sold through concessions in department stores including Selfridges.

Cefinn, which already ships to 26 countries, said it would use the money to expand its presence internationally while also investing in its logistics operations.
