Feelunique raids Amazon’s senior management for new CEO

// Feelunique poaches Amazon fashion director Sarah Miles for CEO role
// She will join the online beauty retailer in November
// Miles worked for Amazon for five years, including three as EU fashion director

Feelunique has raided the senior management ranks of Amazon to hire Sarah Miles as its new chief executive.

Miles, who has worked at Amazon for five years – including the last three years as EU fashion director – will join the online beauty retailer in November.

She will replace Joel Palix, who resigned as chief executive in February.

Since he stepped down, his remit was covered by chief operating officer Jim Buckle and chief marketing officer Jen Roebuck.

They will return to their regular roles and remits once Miles commences with Feelunique.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Feelunique, an exciting brand at a very exciting time,” she said.

“It is an honour to join the team who have compiled over 500 leading brands on the site, and world-class content for our customers.

“I look forward to working with the team to drive a vigorous path to growth with this unbeatable mix of assets.”

Prior to Amazon, Miles held senior roles at Diageo and Reuters.

FeelUnique chair Robert Bensoussan said her experience across international, brand and digital would “help FeelUnique to continue to strengthen its position as Europe’s leading online premium beauty retailer”.
