Waitrose hires Emma Isaac as new head of marketing

// Emma Isaac joins Waitrose as head of brand marketing and marketing planning from this week
// Before her appointment, James Morrison took on the role on an interim basis

Emma Isaac has this week joined Waitrose as its new head of brand marketing and marketing planning.

Isaac began her career at British Airways, before creating a leadership coaching business and working in a brand strategy consultancy.

She has also held senior marketing roles at both Barclays and most recently at the NatWest Group where she was brand marketing director.

Isaac is also an active member of Women in Advertising & Communications Leadership.

Before her appointment to at Waitrose, James Morrison acted as interim head of brand marketing and marketing planning.

“Emma brings a wealth of experience from well known brands and we are thrilled she is joining us at a really pivotal moment for our brand,” Waitrose customer director Martin George said.

Isaac said: “Waitrose is a brand which I’ve long admired as a customer and as a marketer.

“It’s a real privilege to be joining the team to continue to build customers’ love for the Waitrose brand as well as help deliver the broader Partnership Plan”.
