Zara picks Cardiff for new regional flagship

// Zara opens brand new regional flagship at St David’s in Cardiff
// The new 36,500sqft store is set across two levels and emulates Zara’s latest omnichannel format

Zara has picked St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff for the launch of its brand new 36,500sq ft regional flagship store.

The store, which officially opened yesterday (June 3), is set across two levels and features Zara’s full range of womenswear, menswear and kidswear.

The regional flagship also emulates Zara’s new omnichannel format concept, featuring an automated click-and-collect point for customers to make “swift product collection” – which the retailer hopes would help drive new footfall to the store.

Self-service and dedicated refund tills are also available.

The new St David’s store is the latest in Zara’s recent wave of new flagships that feature its new omnichannel format, including shops in Bluewater, Dubai, and Barcelona.

Zara is also the most recent opening for St David’s, hot on the heels of Breitling recently launching a debut Welsh standalone unit in the shopping centre, and with cosmetics giant Morphe set to open a shop there later this summer.

Zara also joins Inditex sister brands Bershka and Stradivarius which already operate within St David’s.
