Tesco issues one week warning to Clubcard shoppers

// Thousands of Tesco shoppers have just one week to use up their Clubcard vouchers before they become invalid
// Vouchers from the rewards scheme were originally extended due to Covid-19

Tesco Clubcard vouchers that were extended during the Covid-19 pandemic are on the verge of expiring, with customers warned to use them or lose them in the next week.

Vouchers from the rewards scheme were extended amid the pandemic giving shoppers more time to spend them.

The latest set of coupons were originally due to expire in February 2021 but were given an extra shelf life of six months earlier this year.

However they will now run out on August 31, giving shoppers a little over a week to use them.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers typically have a two-year expiry period.

The supermarket giant updated the expiry dates on its digital vouchers and will continue to accept paper vouchers in-store until the extended expiry date.

However, vouchers that have already had their cut-off date pushed back – for example, ones that were due to expire in May 2021 but are now due to last until November 2021 – will still expire on these dates.

Any Clubcard vouchers that were already extended won’t be extended again, Tesco has said.
