M&S partners with Wonderbra for lingerie lift

// M&S will be selling the iconic lingerie brand Wonderbra online
// One in three British women already buy their bras at M&S

Marks & Spencer has teamed up with iconic lingerie brand Wonderbra to give its online offering a boost, with selected lines from the high-profile underwear collection.

The high street giant already sells its own push-up and strapless bras – as well as selected items from four other lingerie brands, including Sloggi and Triumph – but believes the Wonderbra can help attract more shoppers.

One in three British women already buy their bras at M&S, accounting for around a third of the market.

Neil Harrison, director of guest brands at Marks & Spencer, said the addition of brands that complement existing ranges – such as Wonderbra – was “an exciting way we can offer our customers even more choice”.

TThis latest agreement is part of ‘Brands at M&S’ – an ongoing expansion strategy which has seen the retailer adding a number of high-profile clothing labels such as Hobbs, Jigsaw, Joules and White Stuff to its offering.

M&S took its first step into selling third-party brands in October last year when it launched independent eco-fashion label Nobody’s Child on its website, in a bid to attract new shoppers.

More recently, M&S has acquired a 25 per cent stake in the fashion brand, as it continues to boost the platform of brands to complement its core offer.
