Fashion e-tailer Asos has announced today that International Director Jon Kamaluddin is to stand down from his role after nine years.

Stepping down from the Board in October this year, Kamluddin will remain at the company to ensure a smooth handover before his departure by the end of the year, though the process of finding a successor is ongoing.

Last month, Asos announced that international sales in the three months to February 28th 2013 soared 45 per cent year-on-year to £111 million as the e-tailer continued to make gains across the globe despite the difficult economic climate.

Nick Robertson, Asos CEO, thanked Kamaluddin for his hard work at the e-tailer. “Jon has played a significant role in the development of Asos over the last nine years, formerly as Finance Director and latterly as International Director.

“Personally and on behalf of all of us at Asos I want to thank him for his outstanding contribution to our success and wish him well in the future.”
