Amazon Dash buttons now available digitally

Amazon has digitalised its Dash buttons by adding them to the Prime app – allowing people to access the function either on the mobile device or website.

This means Amazon Prime customers can now create buttons for a range of Prime-eligible products and instantly place orders from the home page or the app.

Amazon‘s Dash buttons were introduced in the UK in September last year.

“We‘ve all experienced the frustration of running out of something we need — Dash Button and Dash Replenishment Service are designed to make that moment a thing of the past,” Amazon Dash director Daniel Rausch said at the launch.

However, reports have emerged – including from the Wall Street Journal – that items purchased via the Dash button are more expensive.
