Furniture retailer Habitat is returning to Leeds with the opening of its first stand-alone mini store this weekend as part of a trial in regional touchpoints around the UK.

Taking up 2000sq ft, the Mini Habitat store will include an edit of over 600 products across furniture, upholstery, lighting, homewares and textiles.

The store will be located in Leeds‘ Moortown neighbourhood and is slated to open on January 28.

The “mini” format of the shop will also have a multichannel facet, with integrated digital screens and in-store iPads allowing customers to browse through Habitat‘s 4500 product portfolio.

The Leeds store follows the success of Mini Habitat store launches in Solihull and London.

“This is our first new stand-alone concept for the business so an extremely exciting time for the brand as we continue to evolve both digitally and offline with new store formats,” Habitat managing director Clare Askem said.

“We know we have a lot of Habitat fans in Leeds so we‘re delighted to be returning here.

“We‘re looking forward to receiving customer feedback from this new store and building on these learnings as we look ahead to 2017 and our development of the Habitat brand.”

Habitat is owned by Sainsbury‘s.
