JD Sports continues Australian expansion with debut Sydney store

British sportswear retailer JD Sports is poised to open its first store in Sydney, bringing its total Australian store count to three.

Located in Westfield Parramatta in western Sydney, regarded one of Australia’s biggest shopping centres, the new 400sq m store will follow the high street chain’s store openings in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast, Queensland, earlier this year.

The new Sydney store will open on July 13.

“The highly anticipated JD Sports Parramatta launch is expected to attract sneakerheads on mass, following the success of Melbourne Central‘s flagship store,” JD Sports Australia head Hilton Seskin told Ragtrader.

The retailer aims to open a total of five stores in Australia this year, and has also opened two new stores in Malaysia.
