Discount retail chain Poundland has just launched a sale where thousands of products will be sold at just 50p for the first time ever.

The sale will see items across various categories, such as summer toys, outdoor living, gardening, clothing, jewellery and selected confectionery have a 50p price tag slapped on them.

It will run until the end of August.

The news comes after Poundland earlier this year said it would continue selling the majority of their items at a £1 but will begin to roll-out multi-pricing as well. This includes  introduce  even cheaper price points, such as the new 50p price tags.

“No-one loves a bargain more than Poundland customers and our promise to them is clear – amazing value every day,” Poundland trading director Barry Williams said.

“Our first ever summer sale is yet another example of how we provide customers with that value.”
