Shopping centre giant Westfield recently launched the UK‘s first indoor shopping centre zip-line as part of its Future Forest installation.

The installation, created by Bompas & Parr, is in Westfield London shopping centre in White City.

It provides adults and children the opportunity to leap from a 17ft tree house into a 131ft decline.

It launched earlier this month and will run until August 28.

It marks the latest addition to the centre‘s Future Forest campaign which hopes to educate city dwellers on the importance of nature.

“The vision for Future Forest is to engage young people in the future of our urban environment and we really believe that the best way to do that is through a fun, physical challenge that disconnects them from their screen-based lives, gets the adrenaline pumping and makes for something that they‘ll remember,” Bompas & Parr director Harry Parr said.

Westfield’s chief marketing officer Myf Ryan added: “The Adventure Zip-Line will offer a thrilling addition to the immersive Future Forest experience, which really delivers on providing a unique experience that has never been done before.”
