The founder of Mountain Warehouse has launched a new retail chain called Neon Sheep, specialising in gifts, accessories, stationery and homeware.

Speaking to Retail Week, Mark Neale said his new retail venture drew inspiration from Tiger, Hema, Smiggle and Oliver Bonas.

Neon Sheep has already opened two stores: one in Ealing Broadway shopping centre, west London and another in Festival Place shopping centre, Basingstoke.

Both centres’ websites have Neon Sheep listed as a new addition to their retail offerings.

Retail Week said there are plans to open a third store at Intu Lakeside in Essex next month.

Neale added that it was still early days for the new fascia, but he hopes to open 10 or 15 more stores in shopping centres across the country.
