N Brown’s Andy Haywood resigns from COO role

Andy Haywood is set to depart his role as chief operations officer at N Brown after three years at the retail company.

N Brown is reportedly searching for a chief technology officer who will take over from Haywood’s COO role.

Haywood, who joined the retailer in 2014 after two years as group chief information officer at the Co-op and two years as IT director at Boots, will go on to build a “portfolio of advisory and non-executive roles”.

“N Brown is an amazing business and with the strong executive team there, I know it will continue to go from strength to strength,” he said.

“It’s been an amazing period of transformation.”

The company, which owns fashion retailers Simply Be and Jacamo, transformed from a catalogue business to a digital one during Haywood’s tenure.

In the 26 weeks to August 27, N Brown saw a 1.8 per cent rise in overall adjusted pre-tax profits to £32.2 million, while overall revenues jumped 5.6 per cent to £453.4 million.
