Matchesfashion makes string of senior appointments

Matchesfashion has made a string of new senior appointments amid a “year of strategic investment” which has driven rapid expansion.

Yoox Net-a-Porter’s former merchandising director Lea Cranfield has been appointed commercial director and will now lead the buying and merchandising teams across mens’ and womenswear, as well as Matchesfashion’s private label Raey.

Meanwhile, former Sainsbury’s chief technology officer Kim Hartlev will now take on the same role at the fashion retailer, looking after all technology including software, infrastructure, service operations and mobile apps.

This follows news last month that former John Lewis veteran Tom Athron was appointed as chief operating officer.

“With their wealth of experience Lea, Tom and Kim will join forces with our leadership team to deliver our mission, which is to be the most personal luxury shopping experience in the world,” chief executive Ulric Jerome said.
