Missguided will now allow customers to pay for items 30 days after purchase as it introduces a new “pay later” service to its app.

The online fashion retailer enlisted the help of three separate digital payment specialists – Poq, Klarna and Stripe – to overhaul its payment systems.

Shoppers will now be able to purchase an item without having to pay a penny for a month, while also paying zero interest on their purchase, thanks to the integration of Klarna’s “pay later” product.

Missguided’s app reportedly accounts for just under a third of its total mobile orders.

“Our customers drive everything we do, so it makes sense that we make sure they have the best experience when shopping with us,” Missguided chief digital officer Jonathan Wall said.

“I want Missguided shoppers to feel excited when they open our app, and making the latest lines and limited editions more accessible through pay later is part of that mission.

“Klarna shares our vision when it comes to innovation, and our desire to make life simple, quick and worry-free for our shoppers.

“Bringing Klarna’s experience together with our existing partners meant we got the best of both worlds, and we can’t wait for our customers to start enjoying flexible payments.”
