Intu confirms CEO replacement not yet found

// Intu said no new CEO found yet
// The shopping centre giant still searching for CEO David Fischel’s successor

Intu has confirmed that it has not yet found a replacement to outgoing chief executive David Fischel.

The confirmation was in response to The Sunday Times reporting that former finance chief of Travis Perkins was in the running as Fishel’s successor.

Fischel – who has been at the helm since 2001 – announced his resignation plans in July 2018.

Intu has been struggling recently, with reports of sales declines in physical stores.

The new chief executive will aim to slash the shopping centres group debt pile of £4.9 billion, according to The Sunday Times.
