Ted Baker has appointed the former HR executive of B&Q, Jack Wills and Marks & Spencer, Helena Feltham, to the board as a non-executive director.

Feltham will join the board of directors on May 1 and will act as adviser as Ted Baker overhauls its HR policies after founder and former chief executive Ray Kelvin resigned in early March due to sexual harassment allegations.

Feltham was previously people director at B&Q, and also held senior HR roles at Jack Wills, M&S, and Topshop.

“Working with the board, Helena’s support and insight on implementing the recommendations from the independent HR policies and procedures review will be of great value,” Ted Baker executive chair David Bernstein said.

Since Kelvin’s alleged misconduct and resignation, Ted Baker has pledged to revamp its HR policies following an internal investigation by law firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
