Asda has launched a new campaign in collaboration with Downton Abbey ahead of the highly anticipated film releasing mid-September.

The new TV advert Dine like Downton explores Asda and Downton Abbey’s focus on the best of British produce, community and family.

It highlights the importance of mealtimes in every home – no matter the decade.

Fan favourite Mrs Patmore (Lesley Nichol) is seen rustling up a joint of roast beef for a royal visit, showing how every kitchen deserves quality ingredients without breaking the bank

Downton Abbey is world-renowned for its wonderful kitchen, stunning feasts and a head cook who only accepts the best,” Asda vice president of creative and media Eilidah Macaskill said.

“Mrs Patmore knows that every great meal starts with great ingredients.

“At Asda, we aim to provide customers with delicious, low cost meal ideas that don’t compromise on quality and are simple enough to fit around even the busiest of schedules.”

Alongside the 30-second advert, the Big 4 grocer will also air two shorter commercials throughout autumn, showcasing its range of branded family favourites.
