// Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield hires managing director for UK & Italy

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has appointed Scott Parsons as the regional managing director for UK and Italy.
Parsons will join office on November 13, and will report directly to chief operating officer for Europe, Michel Dessolain.
He will be responsible for the comppany’s asset portfolio and development projects in the UK and Italy, building on the success of Westfield’s two UK flagship destinations, Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.
Parsons has over 25 years of investment, finance and operations experience in real estate and has managed a diverse portfolio including theatres, cinemas, leisure and residential.
His most recent position was retail portfolio managing director at Land Securities, before serving as president of European real estate at Brookfield Asset Management.
Parsons has also spent 10 years at GE Capital Real Estate, where he led the UK business development team.
“As regional managing director, Scott will be part of our growth story against the backdrop of a rapidly changing industry, particularly in the UK,” Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield chief operating officer Michel Dessolain said.
“We have the best assets and the best teams to deliver success and are delighted that Scott will lead our UK and Italy business.
“His experience is of significant value to the Group as we increase our focus on densification and mixed-use developments.”
