// The Hut Group launches interest-free buy now, pay later option to boost Christmas sales
// It partnered with payment tech firm Clearpay to offer instalment payments across 54 online stores
// The option will be available for purchases over £10 for The Hut Group’s brands

The Hut Group has launched a new interest-free, buy now, pay later service for customers as a way to capitalise on the looming Christmas season.

The service, done in partnership with Clearpay, will offer instalment payments across 54 of The Hut Group’s (THG) online stores in time for the crucial festive trading period.

Customers purchasing items on THG’s own direct-to-consumer online stores will have the opportunity to pay for their online purchases in four equal, interest-free instalments on orders of more than £10 with an instant approval decision.

Consumers make their first instalment payment at the time of purchase and then every two weeks thereafter.

The partnership also follows a period of investment by THG into its proprietary global ecommerce platform Ingenuity, which powers a number of third-party websites for brands such as Nestle, Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Nintendo and Honda.

“The launch of our partnership with Clearpay demonstrates a common objective to make significant investments today in order to be able to offer best-in-class customer experiences and further enhance our Ingenuity platform,” THG chief executive Matthew Moulding said.

“We strive to offer customers and brands a seamless buying experience and look forward to working with our new partners as they join us on our growth journey.”
