She will take up her role, a new position on the Dixons Carphone executive committee, on January 27.

Haselhurst’s appointment is the latest in a series of senior hires at the parent company of Carphone Warehouse and Currys PC World.

These include chief digital officer Mark Allsop, who joined from Merlin Entertainments, chief information officer Andy Gamble, previously at Dyson, and chief HR officer Paula Coughlan, previously at McDonald’s and PepsiCo.

Dixons Carphone said Haselhurst is a “recognised leader” in international supply chain, logistics and retail with experience developing “strong” relationships with suppliers and building customer-centric supply chains.

Prior her role at Kingfisher, she was supply chain and operations director at Screwfix, and previously held a number of senior roles at logistics giant Wincanton.

“The key to delivering our vision – “We Help Everyone Enjoy Amazing Technology” – is to keep our promises to customers,” Baldock said.

“We’ve already made strong progress on transforming our supply chain: we’ve built the largest two-person home delivery network in the UK, increased right first-time deliveries and established a 300-strong engineer workforce for in-home repairs, whilst improving customer satisfaction.

“Lindsay is passionate about putting customers first and has a proven track-record in taking supply chain operations to the next level and developing a truly brilliant end-to-end customer experience.

“We’re delighted that someone of Lindsay’s calibre is joining us.”
