Crew Clothing has relocated and expanded in Princesshay, Exeter, making it the retailer’s new national flagship – and its 100th store.

The fashion retailer said the new premises is more than double the size of its former store on Bedford Street in Princesshay and will create six new jobs as a result.

Crew Clothing was founded in Salcombe in 1993 and chose Exeter as the location of its flagship as a nod to its south-west roots.

It added that its new flagship will offer menswear, womenswear, kidswear, footwear and accessories alongside a personalisation station that embroiders initials onto customer favourites.

“Not only is our new Exeter flagship bigger and better than ever before, this very special spot marks our 100th store,” Crew Clothing brand director Georgina Clark said.

“And it’s no coincidence that it’s in Devon. Over the last 28 years, we’ve opened doors up and down the country, from St Andrews to St Ives, but we’ve never forgotten where we came from.”

Crew Clothing’s new store joins a line-up of lifestyle-focused brands in Princesshay’s main mall, including Joules, Fat Face, Superdry and Two Seasons.

Princesshay commercial manager Hannah Overton said: “We’re so pleased to see Crew Clothing relocate to a bigger space in Princesshay and for the centre to now be home to the brand’s flagship store. Crew Clothing is a welcome addition to our fashion offering for Devon shoppers in the centre’s main mall.”
