Peter Turner founded the Leicester-based business over 35 years ago in a small store in Leicester’s Silver Arcade. The company expanded and relocated to larger premises in 1998.

JD Sports first became involved in the business in September 2020, with the appointment of former JD Sports CEO Peter Cowgill as a director.

Wellgosh opened its latest UK store in Birmingham in July 2022. The 3,500sq ft store was its largest unit, having added a Nottingham store in October 2021.

The Leicester location is set to be converted into a Size? store.
