Decathlon has revealed that its business has been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Revenue in the UK during the year dropped 4.5% to £225.7 million, according to files for its UK accounts for 2020.
The business reached revenues of €11.4 billion globally.

Despite its losses, online revenue rose 122.4% in the UK compared to 2019.
This illustrated the different trends in consumer behaviours during the height of the pandemic.
Turnover growth overall decreased to 4.5%, compared to a 10.3% rise in 2019 as stores were forced to close during government mandated lockdowns.
Despite opening a new store, the business reduced its staff count by 77 employees and closed two locations.
