Frasers Group has announced expansion plans for its Flannels brand as it eyes the Irish market.

Flannels is set to launch in the Republic of Ireland for the very first time, with three new stores to open across the country in FY23.

The group’s elevation strategy continues to go from “strength to strength” and remains a key player in driving the long-term growth of the business.

The plans will see Flannels stores open in Dublin, Cork and Blanchardstown.

Flannels Dublin is set to be the next flagship, opening in the landmark former Clerys Department store on O’Connell Street.

Originally constructed in 1853, Clerys was one of the world’s first purpose-built department stores.

“Our ambitious plans mark a pivotal moment for the business, as we continue to expand and invest, we’re excited to enhance our presence throughout Europe and bring modern and engaging retail spaces to multiple locations in Ireland,” Frasers managing director, David Epstein said.

“As Flannels continues to disrupt and rethink retail, we’re excited to become the go-to luxury destination for a new audience and meet the ever-evolving demands of consumers, by providing an immersive retail experience.”

Following positive results in December 2021, this investment from Frasers Group demonstrates the “strength of the business” – spearheaded by incoming chief executive, Michael Murray.

Flannels Dublin, Cork and Blanchardstown are set to open in Winter 2022/Spring 2023, with Frasers Newbridge and Cork, set to open late Summer 2022.
