Wickes has launched a new campaign aimed at removing the stigma and stress around menstruation at work.

The project will see the home improvement retailer provide period products, free of charge, across all its stores, distribution centres and offices, to staff members who require them and need one-off supplies. In addition to this, Wickes is also advising all staff on how they can be more period positive.

The campaign has been developed as part of the retailer’s Balance for Better workstream, which is one of six inclusion and diversity workstreams within the business.

Good news. Periods suck big time. They hurt and we should have nothing to be ashamed of. They are a natural part of our body. Well done Wickes. Now just add PCOS, menopause and incontinence to it. Men for incontinence too. But free pads is a step in the right direction. They should be free for schools too.
