Burberry has hired the former global head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Dr Martens, Geoffrey Williams, as vice-president of diversity and inclusion.

Williams started his role at Burberry on 28 March.

He has held the role of global head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Dr Martens since April 2020.

Williams was at Thomson Reuters for more than 11 years, starting in a global talent and development role.

“I am excited to share that I started a new role at Burberry last Monday as their VP, global head of diversity and inclusion,” he said.

“I want to say a huge thank you to the team for such a warm welcome, and I am looking forward to writing my next career chapter with everyone.”
