“While our focus is on creating great quality wines, we also want to have a positive impact on our planet and meet customers’ desires to shop with more sustainable businesses,” Virgin Wines CEO, Jay Wright said.

“Whilst being a carbon neutral business is a fantastic achievement, we understand that this is only the first step within our journey to reduce our carbon emissions, and we’re pleased to share our goal of becoming Net Zero by 2045.”

The online drinks retailer plans to cut their Scope 1 and 2 emissions by at least 42% by 2030.

Virgin Wines will be reporting on sustainability progress on annual basis going forward.
