Timberland owner VF Corp reveals new hires in EMEA leadership

The owner of The North Face and Timberland, VF Corporation has revealed new appointments in its leadership team in the EMEA region.

The company has given Martino Scabbia Guerrini an expanded role as executive vice president, president EMEA, APAC & Emerging Brands.

The new role will enable stronger cohesion and alignment across the regional leadership teams, key account management, and how new growth opportunities are activated across EMEA and APAC.

Meanwhile, the current general manager of Timberland EMEA, Mariano Alonso will take on the role of general manager of The North Face EMEA.

The president of VF Global Packs (Eastpak, JanSport, and Kipling) will succeed Mariano Alonso as general manager of Timberland EMEA.

These changes come as Jan Van Leeuwen, the current general manager of The North Face EMEA, has been appointed as general manager of the Americas for The North Face.

Alonso joined VF in April 2014 as vice president of sales for Timberland EMEA and was later named vice president, general manager of Timberland EMEA in 2019.

During his tenure, Alonso has played a crucial role in driving business growth in EMEA through an intense focus on VF’s core strategies. He will bring these talents and infectious energy and passion to his new team at The North Face as they continue building a strong brand, business, and community in the EMEA region.
