The Very Group has appointed its chief financial officer Ben Fletcher to the newly created role of chief finance and transformation officer with immediate effect.

Fletcher joined the business in 2020 to lead its finance team and will now be responsible for continuing development of the business’ operating model and introducing new ways of working that increase customer-centricity.

The group, which owns fashion retailer Very, said it made “significant progress” over the last year with its multi-year technology investment roadmap.

This will enable it to “deliver customer experience improvements faster and more frequently than ever before”.

The Very Group CEO, Lionel Desclée said: “We need to consistently land customer-focused change in the ways we work.
