// Morrisons is relaunching its Savers range in a bit to become more price competitive with discount rivals
// The revamped value range will arrive in stores in the next few weeks

Morrisons will relaunch its Savers range in a bid to become more price competitive with rivals.

The new products, set to arrive in stores in the next few weeks, will have more vibrant white and blue packaging instead of the neutral wrapping.

This comes as the grocery giant ramps up its efforts to become more attractive in an attempt to regain its market share – which dropped behind Aldi last year.

The grocer has invested £148m over the last six months into cutting prices of popular and essential items – including £16m into reducing the prices of 130 products in the Savers range.

Chief executive David Potts said the Savers range offered customers great value on the products they buy every day.

“We want to do all we can to help when it comes to the cost of grocery shopping and by investing in the range and cutting the prices further, our customers will see a noticeable impact on their budgets at a time when they really need it.”
