Lego has opened the doors to its new Battersea Power station store as it ramps up its retail expansion plans.

The retailer’s first London branch south of the river boasts a wide assortment of Lego sets for children and adults as well as an interactive Battersea-inspired Lego mural and a 3D model of the power station.

The new space located on the centre’s ground floor fits seamlessly around the station’s original features, such as the exposed brickwork and steel beams.

Interactive stations, from build your own figurines to play tables, are featured throughout the store. Shoppers can also find individual Lego bricks and elements on the Pick-A-Brick wall.

To celebrate the opening, the store is running free workshops where visitors can build and take home mini Battersea Power Stations, which are exclusive to the store.

The model took 160 hours to build and has 14,500 bricks
