Tesco releases Christmas 2023 ad sneak peek

Tesco has released a sneak peek of its 2023 Christmas advert ahead of its TV premiere, which airs for the first time on Sunday 19 November.

The grocery giant’s new ad, titled ‘Become More Christmas’, shows how a trip to Tesco can get you feeling more in the festive spirit with every shop.

The stills, taken from the ad, show a range of scenarios including a generous stack of mince pies and a cheerful Tesco delivery driver.

The ad will air on TV for the first time on ITV during the advert break of the first episode of this season’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’, starting at 9pm.

Last week John Lewis released its much-awaited Christmas 2023 advert featuring a mischievious Venus flytrap.

A young boy finds a box labelled ‘Snapper, the perfect tree’ – with the strapline ‘Let Your Traditions Grow’. He nurtures the plant from seed in the belief he is cultivating a perfect Christmas tree.

The grocer is one of the last big retailers to unveil its Christmas ad, with many firms signing up big celebrities this year.

‘King of Christmas’ Michael Bublé stars in Asda’s ad, while M&S Food has enlisted Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Sainsbury’s has gone for a more tongue-in-cheek approach with 80s popstar Rick Astley making a cameo in its ad, while Graham Norton pops up in Waitrose’s campaign.
