Amazon has teamed up with Odeon to offer its Prime members discounted cinema tickets.
From today, Prime members get access to two tickets for £10 at standard Odeon cinemas from Monday to Thursday. Or two tickets for £15 at the chain’s Luxe theatres.
The online retail giant said the deal, which is redeemable once per month, offers a saving of more than 45% on the price of an average Odeon ticket.
The initiative comes as research by Amazon found that a night out to the cinema was 36% of the UK and Ireland’s favourite winter date night. However, cost was cited as a top blocker to planning more date nights by 46% of the population

The retailer’s UK country manager John Boumphrey said: “We’re always looking for ways to offer even more value to Prime members, giving them the best of shopping and entertainment.
“As well as the biggest movies and TV shows on Prime Video, this offers our customers the opportunity to get great value on the big screen at Odeon cinemas across the UK and Ireland.”
Odeon managing director of UK and Ireland Suzie Welch added: “We’re passionate about the big screen experience, so we’re extremely excited to offer Amazon Prime members a night out at the cinema at a fantastic price.
“Our cinemas offer something for everyone – from concert film to Hollywood blockbusters – and are the perfect place for a date night escape away from the winter cold.”
