Amazon unveils new five-day ‘Spring Deal Days’ sales event

Amazon is launching its first spring sales event later this week, offering shoppers discounts across its range of products.

The online giant’s new event, dubbed “Spring Deal Days” will launch on 20 March, ending 25 March.

While the business didn’t specify which products will be featured, it said customers will be able to “enjoy 6 days of big savings” of up to 40% on products across electronics, fashion, kitchen, homewares and more.

There will also be offers on Prime Video, Amazon Music and Audible.

The sales event will be available to non-Prime members although members will have exclusive access to a select range of deals.

The retail titan has been ramping up its promotional efforts in recent years.

Back in 2022, it hosted two Prime Day-style events within the same year for the first time and repeated this pattern last year, organising a second event in October, contributing to a 9% year-on-year increase in online sales growth during the fourth quarter.

Last month Amazon’s full-year profits tripled thanks to its “continued invention and customer experience improvements” across the business.

Profit skyrocketed to £28.92bn for the year to 31 December, up from £9.56bn the year prior.
