John Lewis non-executive director Nicky Dulieu quits after seven months

John Lewis non-executive director Nicky Dulieu has stepped down from her post seven months after joining the Partnership.

The former Hobbs boss is said to be leaving the role after finding it “wasn’t compatible with her existing time commitments”, a spokesperson for the retailer said.

Dulieu, who also sits of the board of WHSmith, was appointed to the partnership’s board in May in part to address criticism that the current members lacked retail experience.

John Lewis told This is Money that a replacement will be found “in due course”.

Dulieu’s departure comes as chair Dame Sharon White said she would not seek another term when her five-year tenure comes to an end in February 2025.
