John Lewis has frozen the prices of its school uniforms for the fourth year in a row ahead of the back-to-school season.

The high street giant has frozen 71% of its school uniform prices since 2021, with prices starting from £7 for its cargo shorts and £8 for a three-pack of Anyday polo shirts.

Its range, which is currently available to buy in store and online, includes durable design features such as long length trousers and adjustable waists, internal knee patches to reinforce the high-wear areas, and stain-resistant and easy-care fabrics.

John Lewis buying manager for kidswear Susan Kennedy said: “We know that getting ready for the new school year can be a daunting time for parents, which is why we go the extra mile to make back-to-school shopping a breeze.

“We’re the one-stop shop for everything little ones need to truly shine. Beyond our durable uniform staples we offer all the extras needed to express their personalities including stationery, backpacks, lunch boxes and school shoes.”

She continued: “We’re dedicated to value and hand-me-down worthy quality ensuring our school uniform is built for busy days in both the classroom and playground. We’re proud to have frozen prices of our school uniform range for another year.”

In June, M&S also froze its school uniform prices for the fifth year in a row, as it doubled down on value and durability ahead of the back-to-school season.

The food and fashion specialist has kept its uniform prices unchanged since 2021 — with prices starting from £4.50 for a two-pack of stain-resistant cotton polo shirts.
