Primark chief customer officer (CCO) Michelle McEttrick is stepping down from her role after almost three years.
The executive, who joined the retailer in September 2022, is departing to “pursue a portfolio career”.
Primark said McEttric played a “key role in laying strong foundations for the future of the brand”.
She will be succeeded by group strategy and digital director Matt Houston who will hold the position of new chief customer and digital officer
Houston will be in charge of Primark’s “end-to-end customer brand” and be responsible for uniting the company’s customer and digital teams into one function.
Commenting on her departure, McEttric said: “It’s been a privilege to shape Primark’s customer strategy and brand journey and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.
“I feel now is the right time for me to step into the next exciting phase of my career with the confidence that the brand is in a strong position for growth. I wish all the team all the best for what’s next.”
Prior to Primark, McEttric previously served as Tesco’s group brand and proposition director from 2015 until 2021, and worked under various roles at Barclays from 2010 to 2014.
