Shein is opening its first permanent shops next month in France, as it launches a series of “shop-in-shops” throughout the country.
The fashion retailer has teamed up with housing society Société des Grands Magasins (SGM) to open six concessions across its portfolio.
Shein will open its first shop-in-shop in early November, based on the sixth floor of department store BHV in Paris.
Subsequent openings are planned across the Galeries Lafayette department stores in Grenoble, Dijon, Reims, Limoges and Angers.
The move comes as the brand has previously only opened temporary pop-ups across cities around the world.
Speaking to Retail Week, a Shein spokesperson said: “We are partnering with SGM to trial physical offline retail experiences across 6 cities in France, combining SGM’s ambition to transform shopping centres into true destinations with Shein’s digitally-driven ability to accurately forecast localised customer demand.
“As an influential global fashion market, France is a natural choice as our first test market for such physical retail experiences.
Additionally, Shein customer feedback in France over the last few years has shown growing desire for more physical touchpoints with our brand.”
In September, Shein opened its second London pop-up on Oxford Street.
The temporary store, located at Future Stores on 95 Oxford Street, ran from 26–28 September and showcased the retailer’s autumn/winter 2025 collection.
