British Land has opened Broadgate Central, a 120,000 sq ft retail and leisure destination spanning the ground and lower ground floors of 1 Broadgate and 100 Liverpool Street in central London, creating a direct link between Liverpool Street station and Finsbury Avenue Square.
The new scheme brings a roster of major fashion and lifestyle names to the site, including Moss, Mango, Luca Faloni, Hobbs, Whistles, Tommy Hilfiger and Monica Vinader.
Beauty and wellness brands such as Boots Fragrance, Molton Brown, Space NK, Strip and Murdock London also join the line-up.
British Land head of retail estate and investment Kelly Cleveland said in a statement: “Broadgate Central redefines the City’s retail and leisure scene, bringing together leading brands in a vibrant, accessible destination.
“The strong leasing momentum across the campus, with only one floor of office space available, increasing footfall throughout the whole week, and office utilisation back above pre-Covid levels mid-week, reflects the benefits of our campus model and Broadgate’s enduring appeal.”
Tom Sleigh, chair of the City of London Corporation’s Planning and Transportation Committee, added: “Major employers and brands are reinforcing their commitment to the City of London as the destination of choice, in part, thanks to the outstanding public realm, retail and hospitality offer that developments like Broadgate Central are delivering.
“This is why we have seen a 7% rise in footfall into the City this financial year and are expecting further increases in the years to come.”
