Zara-labelled garments are reportedly being sold in Russia despite its owner Inditex insisting that it had left the country and had no immediate plans for return.

Products from Inditex brands, including Bershka, Massimo Dutti and Stradivarius are being imported into the country to be sold at retail chain Tvoe, according to the the Financial Times reported.

Nine Tvoe stores, which has rebranded as “Tvoe n Ko,” started selling the items in September, according to the Russian business’s social media posts.

The move came two months after Inditex CEO Óscar García Maceiras told the Financial Times that conditions were “certainly not” in place for it to return to the country.

Tvoe’s website states that 19 locations are now selling the products.

In a social media post on 20 November, Tvoe said: “The selection is constantly updated. A reason to visit more often so as not to miss rare items.”

The garments, which match Inditex goods from prior seasons, hold official Inditex labels and Inditex euro-denominated price tags, social media posts said.

Posting a teaser on the Telegram app in September, Tvoe said: “Zara, Oysho, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti is now with us in Tvoe stores. Don’t tell anyone, it’s a secret!”

Inditex previously announced “the termination” of its operation in Russia days after Vladimir Putin’s Ukraine invasion in 2022. The company said it was selling the retailer eight months later.

In September 2025, Russian business Disco Club LLC filed 18 “declarations of conformity” for various types of clothes, listing Inditex as the supplier, Russian customs records revealed.

The declarations enable items to be legally imported into the country but are not themselves import records.

The documents listed Inditex retailers Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Lefties and Zara Home as the item trademarks and described Disco Club as the business’s approved representative.

The goods had previously been set for sale throughout several EU countries, the tags revealed. Other items had been imported from China, according to customs records and tags.

Speaking to the Financial Times, Tvoe said that subject to the business’ “non-disclosure agreements,” it was unable to “provide any information regarding current contracts”.

The business claimed that it was not in any direct supply agreements with Inditex group companies, and that Disco Club had carried out a “one-time technical service” for the firm.

An Inditex representative said that the company had “not granted any authorisation to any company under the name of Disco Club LLC or to Mr Burkhard Binder to carry out any activity on its behalf”.

Inditex did not comment on how its products were entering the Russian market, stating: “Inditex does not make comments about third parties unrelated to our group that might commercialise products of our brands in markets where we are not present, as it is the case of Russia, where Inditex does not have activity since the sale of our business.”
