Clintons has opened a new concept store at Silverburn in Glasgow, as the greetings card retailer looks to modernise its estate with a more experiential and customer-focused format.
The new store, which opened on 10 April, marks the latest step in Clintons’ national rollout of its revamped concept, designed to ‘reflect changing shopping habits and create a more engaging in-store experience’.
Located two doors down from its previous unit, the new Silverburn site replaces one of the retailer’s longest-standing stores at the centre, where Clintons has traded since it first opened in 2007.
The updated format puts a stronger emphasis on experience as well as product, with a refreshed layout, a more curated range and a more contemporary look and feel intended to make the shopping journey more inspiring and intuitive.
Alongside Clintons’ core range of premium cards and gifts, the concept store also introduces new and exclusive lines, with the retailer aiming to create a more streamlined environment that better suits how customers shop today.
The opening is part of a broader effort by Clintons to evolve its physical proposition as it responds to shifting consumer expectations on the high street.
The business, which operates more than 140 stores across the UK, first launched the concept at Metrocentre in Gateshead last summer and said the format has already performed well in several locations.
