Home improvement giant B&Q has appointed Laura Karsunky as director of retail media, as it looks to strengthen its commercial proposition.
The appointment is designed to support B&Q’s ambition to deliver more relevant experiences for customers, while enabling suppliers and brand partners to engage more effectively with B&Q customers.
Karsunky joins from Amazon, where she spent more than a decade in senior leadership roles. With over 20 years of experience spanning media, advertising and technology, she brings a wealth of commercial and industry expertise to the position.
Karsunky said: “I’m thrilled to be joining B&Q at such an exciting time for the business. There’s a real opportunity to build on the strong foundations already in place and continue developing a Retail Media proposition that creates value for both customers and our supplier and brand partners. I’m looking forward to working with the team to drive the next phase of growth.”
B&Q stressed her appointment comes at a pivotal time for the business, with increasing demand from suppliers and brand partners for retail media solutions. Karsunky will play a key role in shaping the next phase of B&Q’s Retail Media offering, expanding its digital advertising and media capabilities.
