Screwfix has launched a new Price Promise guarantee to help tradespeople save money on tools, equipment and essential products.
The company said the initiative was designed to give customers ‘greater confidence on price’ as cost pressures continue to affect businesses across the UK.
Under the scheme, customers who find an identical product at a lower price from a qualifying retailer within seven days of purchasing from Screwfix can claim back the difference.
The guarantee applies to purchases made in Screwfix stores, on its website and through its app.
Customers can visit a Screwfix store before buying, or within seven days of placing an order, and show proof of the lower price. Screwfix will then match the price at the point of purchase or refund the difference if the item has already been bought.
The Price Promise also applies to purchases made through Screwfix Sprint, which allows customers to have products delivered to home or site in as little as 20 minutes.
Screwfix marketing director Jack Wallace said: “At Screwfix, we are committed to helping our customers save both time and money, so they can get their jobs done quickly, affordably and right first time.
“Our Price Promise gives customers added confidence that they are getting great value, along with the convenience and availability they expect from us.”
Screwfix, which is owned by Kingfisher, operates more than 1,000 stores across the UK, Ireland and France and sells more than 75,000 products.
It said its website and app attract more than seven million visits a week, while it serves more than 11 million active customers a year.
