Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino, which became a viral sensation in the US when launched in 2017, will be available for three days only at UK coffeehouses.

The mango flavoured layered drink is finished with whipped cream, blue drizzle and a pink and blue topping. One swirl of the cup reveals colour-changing “enchantment”.

Following a guest appearance at Coachella Music Festival earlier this year, it will be available in participating Starbucks stores across the UK from 15–17 August 2026 only. Subject to availability, while stocks last.

The Unicorn Frappuccino blended beverage will be joined by the Unicorn Cake Pop: a vanilla cake pop covered in white chocolate, with chocolate ears and a white chocolate unicorn horn and finished with colourful sprinkles, black icing eyelashes and rosy icing cheeks.

Earlier this year, Starbucks’ vice president EMEA CPG Nik Dhodi and marketing director EMEA Charlotta Oldham explained the brand’s shift from product focused campaigns and functional messaging to “something that pulls at consumers attention and will drive a really strong emotional connection”.

According to Dhodi, the new direction is a strategy that Starbucks will be using for years to come. Oldham added that the strategy places the consumer as the hero.

She said: “We’re just there in the moment that matters to them. And I think that feels way more natural and authentic, rather than be telling and intrusive.”
