Columbia Sportswear’s CEO Tim Boyle has officially called off the search for the edge of the earth.

This is the last instalment in its ‘Expedition Impossible’ campaign which called on the public to find the edge of the Earth in return for the keys to the firm.

Columbia Sportswear has received hundreds of submissions containing theories, maps, diagrams and attempts from explorers globally to find the Earth’s edge.

The final spot shows Boyle reflecting on the campaign, celebrating participants creativity and conducting giveaways.

Tim Boyle, CEO of Columbia Sportswear said: “No one found the edge of the Earth, and I’m so relieved we get to keep the company.”

“The Expedition Impossible campaign really captured the adventurous spirit of Columbia. Many tried. Many failed. We appreciate the effort.

The campaign did very well at Cannes Lions and is the most awarded marketing drive in Columbia Sportswear’s history. It also took home the Grand Clio Award at the Clio’s.

He added: “I’m grateful to the flat earth community for providing us with so many interesting submissions, and very much looking forward to getting back to work now that the campaign is officially closed. You can stop emailing us now.”
